Thankfully, the CT scan picked up only what is left of the original vase, it did not capture the clay reconstruction upper lip. This makes this piece extremely unique, and shows off the incredible age of the artifact itself. It’s a very unique print of an artifact that comes from ancient Egypt thousands of years ago.

The replica was printed using an .STL file that was obtained from a high-resolution scan of the original vase, using a Nikon 4M-RTSS Scanner. CT scanning insures incredibly accurate replication of both inner and outer surfaces.
