The original vase was created from a single block of dolerite (stone). It is extraordinarily precise. Experts dated the original vase to Egypt in the predynastic period in the 4th millennium BC. Manufacturing this object would have been incredibly difficult in ancient times.  You are purchasing a limited edition 3D print that is 1:1 size of the original vase.

    • The replica was printed using an .STL file that was obtained from a high-resolution scan of the original vase, using a Nikon 4M-RTSS Scanner. CT scanning insures incredibly accurate replication of both inner and outer surfaces.

    1.) This artifact is too precise to have been manufactured with primitive hand tools.  

    2.) Either ancient people had more advanced tools than we know about, or this object is a modern imitation.
