Measurements
- Height - 5.90 inches
- Width (lug handles) - 4.38 inches
- Mouth Opening - 0.75 inches
The original vase was created from a single block of red granite in the 4th millennia BC. Unlike any other known ancient Egyptian vase, it glows white under a UV light. The age is quite evident on this piece due to wear on the bottom and the manufacturing. Manufacturing is incredible, as extracting all of the material from the inside through a .75 inch mouth opening is miraculous. The CT scan captured the inside beautifully, where a tiny piece of the original core drill still remains on the inside.
The limited edition 3D print is 1:1 size of the original vase. This piece is extremely unique. It takes approximately 6 hours to print one replica. In order to maintain a full 1:1 ratio and to keep the bottom of the vase accurate to the original, the bottom few millimeters were printed as a separate piece and adhered to the bottom of the body.
Note:
- Your purchase comes with a copy of the original vase’s COA (Certificate of Authenticity), which details provenance, cultural context, material composition, dating estimation, dimensions, and more.
- Your purchase comes with a COA that guarantees authenticity as a limited-edition 3D print in the first edition. (Number X / 2000)
- The replica was printed using an .STL file that was obtained from a high-resolution scan of the original vase, using a Nikon 4M-RTSS Scanner. CT scanning insures incredibly accurate replication of both inner and outer surfaces.
- This 3D Print has been carefully printed in two parts and securely joined to ensure the highest level of detail and quality.
